AAU Membership Cards
Currently registered athletes must show AAU card @ weight in. Card may be purchased on line

Weigh-ins
Weigh-ins for ALL athletes will be Friday, July 9 , 4:00-9:00 p.m.
(Weigh-ins will be held on FRIDAY ONLY and not on Saturday.)

Schedule of Event
Coach’s and Referee’s meeting will be held on Friday, July 9  @ 7:00 p.m.
Technique Division will be held on Friday, July 9  starts @ 6:00 p.m.
All Shiai categories will be held Saturday, July 10 .
Opening Ceremony will be at 8:30 a.m. competition will start @ 9:00 a.m.

Awards
Large AAU National Championship medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category.
AAU National Championship T-shirts to all contestants.

Divisions
Shiai Age & Weight Categories
(All ages are determined on the day of the weigh in, 7/9/10)

Seniors - (Open to athletes ages 18 & Older)
Males: 130-, 145-, 160-, 175-, 190-, 210-, 235-, Over 235, Open
Females: 105-, 115-, 125-, 135-, 145-, 160-, 175-, 190-, Over 190, Open
The winner of the Open class in both the male and female categories will be considered the GRAND CHAMPION.

Masters - (Ages  30-39, 40-49 &  50+)
All Masters’ categories will be grouped according to weight and based on participation. We will have approximately 4 or less weight classes per age group, depending on participation. No one will give up more than 15% body weight.
Males 30-39, Males 40-49 and Males 50 and older
Females 30-39, Females 40-49 and Females 50 and older

Collegiate Age -  (Athletes Ages 17 through & including  20)
Males: 120-u, 130-u, 145-u, 160-u, 175-u, 190-u, 210-u, 235-u, Over 235
Females: 95-u, 105-u, 115-u, 125-u, 135-u, 145-u, 160-u, 175-u, Over 175

Juniors -     Male & Female weight classes:
6 & under:    40-u, 45-u, 50-u, 55-u, 55-+
8 & under:    50-u, 60-u, 70-u, 80-u, 80-+
10 & under:  60-u, 70-u, 80-u,90-u, 105-u,105-+
12 & under:  70-u, 80-u, 90-u,105-u, 120-u,120-+
14& under:   85-u, 100-u,115-u,130-u, 145-u,160-u, 175-u,175-+
16& under:

Rules
Each competitor will perform 10 throws (8 mandatory & 2 of your choice). Throws may be performed from any direction

8 Mandatory Throws: 
Seoinage
Ogoshi
O Uchi Gari
O Soto Gari
Harai Goshi  (*juniors and  senior green belts ) Uchi Mata (brown/black belts)
Okari Ashi Barai
Tomoe Nage
Tai Otoshi
2 Throws of the competitor’s choice.

Scoring

All four elements must be present:
Kuzushi
Tsukuri
Kake
Kime
Scores awarded from 0-10 by a panel of 5 judges.  
Scoring will be based on the following:  1) Fluidity, 2) Control, 3) Functional use of throw.  
Top score will win each category.

Awards
